Yellowstone

Good evening from Yellowstone. Yesterday after our exciting zip lining, we were about to leave for the ropes course.. however, mother nature had other plans. a lightning storm brew and passed through, then it. cleared and another storm came, and then another, followed by an exciting hail storm that scared the locals. while we were unable to do the ropes course, we played mini games and riddles that brought the group together. It rained the remainder of the day and night, but it did not effect our spirits. This morning, we broke down camp and started our adventure in Yellowstone. we drov Into the park, passing bison by the scores, as we headed north to Bunsen peak . Bunsen peak sits over 8000 feet. In the two mile hike up the peak, we gained over 1300ft of elevation with switchback after switchable, we were rewarded with a spectacular view of the valley floor on all sides.Mother nature continued to challenge us as this time it began to snow on us while on the peak. we hurried down the peak to our cars to warfrom up with lunch. This afternoon, we hiked through a rock slide region called the hoodoos. a region that looks like it came straight out of mars with the massive bolders. We are currently cooking dinner with Clay, Malia, and Half at the realm cooking balsamic chicken served over pasta. The rest of the boys set up their tents next to another and created a tunnel connecting the two with a tarp.it is impressive how inventive they are. tomorrow we set out to hike to beaver pond before starting our afternoon raft! We continue to learn new things, push themselves, and are really coming together as a group. The jokes are flying now!
