Panama STRI In town
The main building at the STRI Compound:
The building was an elementary school in 1904. The Panama canal runs right next to the old school. We crossed a 103 year old bridge to reach the compound. Gamboa is one of the few places that has the "old architecture" from when the canal was being built.

Arrival in Panama CityAll safe and sound after a nice four hour flight. Most of us took at least one nap. The flight rocked out loud!!!!!!! nice sleep!! :)

Panama STRI 2011
Mr. Fluharty talked to Mrs. Johnson yesterday afternoon. Everyone arrived safe, sound and with luggage. They were all excited about their new home, STRI's Gamboa Student House. Today, as I write this, they are trekking through the jungle of Barro Colorado Island with their STRI professor.
