Day 4: Finca de la Luna Nueva (organic farm)

Hello family and friends. Today, we got an early start to a wonderful today. We ate yummy fruits, and other foods for breakfast. After breakfast we got on our way to take a tour of a huge organic farm called La Finca de Luna Nueva. On the way to the farm we got to see two three toed sloths in trees.  Once at the farm, we learned many things about medical plants, tropical fruits and root vegetables, and organic farming.  There was one leaf that could cure headaches just by holding it up to your forehead! I thought it was pretty cool getting to see real medicine gardens up close. We also got to see lots of pigs. We saw baby ones and a huge mama. She just rolled around in the mud though. Once we returned from the hike we got about 40 minutes of free time. Some of us went up to the tower and got to see a great view of the the rain forest and some tucans. Others remained on the ground level and played a game of ping pong and fooseball. We also ate lunch at the place we had the tour. They served rice, pork, and salad. I had the salad and it was very good. Now we are on our way back, just to relax for the rest of the day. So far this week has been amazing and I cannot wait for the days ahead.
