We were honored and privileged to meet a 7th generation bush doctor who spent the morning teaching us about all of the uses for the plant life growing on the Discovery Grove property. Here we are harvesting Guinea grass which made it's way to St. Croix during the slave trade. We later produced a healthy and tasty chlorophyll juice from it!

I too have gone on similar nature and heritage tours with local medicine or bush doctors. As an Extension Agent here in the Virgin Islands at our University's Cooperative Extension Service office, I've been assisting with alternative healing related lectures, workshops and training sessions either as the graphic artist, photographer or videographer. Now, I'm also studying chlorophyll and guinea grass for work because it's the main ingredient of the liquid chlorophyl made locally. Glad you all were able to experience it for yourself. I'd love to know what you thought about it all.
